Today we’re taking a nighttime walk along the Las Vegas Strip, starting out in front of Caesars Palace and making our way down the Strip and across the road to Casino Royale.
We begin at the Caesars Palace courtyard near the Absinthe show tent and make our way toward the Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen restaurant. A view of the nearby Purple Zebra daiquiri bar jogs my brain about lax alcohol laws in Las Vegas, and after climbing the stairs to get to the pedestrian bridge, we find the escalators out of service. Fortunately, we want to go down, so walking the steps, we soon notice a guy posing for a video while tossing cash in the air. I didn’t get close enough to see if it was real or prop money, but we soon turn our focus to a pair of hippocampus (half horse / half fish) statues in a water fountain.
More broken escalators await at the next pedestrian overpass, but we’re not going up anyway. We continue our stroll along Las Vegas Boulevard and double back towards Caesars to see a few more water fountains that are lit up for the night.
Looking at the Flamingo casino across the way, we notice that many of the hotel windows are open, and the sidewalk we’re on is lively with tourists. We take time, too, to appreciate more of Caesars’ classic statues which are often ignored near the roofline.
Toward the end of our walk, we pass new LED signage at Caesars and take note of the construction where the future Hard Rock guitar hotel tower is being built.
After crossing Las Vegas Boulevard, we walk past McDonald’s and see yet another broken escalator before finishing up in front of Casino Royale.
If you’re curious what this stretch of the Strip looks like at night in 2025, this walk gives you a first person point of view of the lights, the tourists, and even the all-too-frequent broken escalators.
Thanks for watching. I appreciate you being here!
