Las Vegas Strip Walk — Mandalay Bay To Las Vegas Sign

Tonight we’re walking the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip, starting outside Mandalay Bay and heading south toward one of the city’s most iconic photo ops. That’s right, we’re going to the iconic “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign!

We begin near the intersection of Mandalay Bay Road and Las Vegas Boulevard then head away from the Strip’s casinos and hotels. This section of sidewalk is remarkably quiet except for the sounds of cars passing by, and along the way, we notice the smell of honeysuckle in the air, pass the entrance to the Four Seasons Hotel, and even see a motorized unicycle rider zipping down the road.

As we continue, we’re mostly to ourselves, occasionally seeing planes flying overhead and even noticing a fully driverless car as it cruises past. Eventually, we see the Las Vegas sign in the distance, pass the Pinball Hall of Fame, and take note of a nearby fire station.

We end the walk with a closer look at the famous “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign, with its neon and flashing lights. It’s late at night, but lots of tourists are still gathering for photos.

If you’re curious what this part of Las Vegas Boulevard feels like at night in 2025 or you’re just wondering if you can walk to the Las Vegas Sign from the casinos on the Strip, this video gives you a calm, real-time view of what that’s like.
