Let’s take a walk through Caesars Palace — one of the most well known resorts on the Las Vegas Strip, thanks to its long history and its appearances in movies like “The Hangover”. I’m sure it’s changed a lot since it opened in 1966, but the Roman theming is still present almost everywhere.
We start today right in the casino, where countless people are walking the main thoroughfare. An elegant bar (Vista Cocktail Lounge) appears on the right, then we take a right to pass the upscale Nobu restaurant with its leather latticed walls.
Passing through one of the main casino areas, we arrive at Beijing Noodle No. 9, where aquariums with goldfish line the walkway into the restaurant. The Bacchanal Buffet next door has a line that’s quite deep, and we see that celebrity chef restaurants dominate the dining options throughout the property.
“There’s a lot to look at here,” I say, glancing up at a mural and Roman statue before continuing into the food court where fast-casual dining options have names like “Tortazo by Chef Rick Bayless”, “Buddy V’s Pizzeria”, and “Bobby’s Burgers by Bobby Flay”.
From there, we make our way past more slot machines and digital versions of table games like Craps and Roulette, then past the sportsbook, past the entrance to Omnia Nightclub, and eventually we arrive at the hotel lobby. We even go on to visit the VIP check-in area with its fresh floral arrangements.
Before long, we find ourselves in the Forum Shops At Caesars. Luxury brands like Gucci, Prada, and Louis Vuitton line the corridors beneath a faux-sky ceiling that mimics an endless clear blue day. We also pass the Atlantis show, where animatronic statues regularly come to life in a fire versus water showdown.
And if that weren’t enough, today’s walk finishes with a ride down a pair of spiral escalators — yes, spiral escalators.
Thanks for coming along. I appreciate you being here.
