Las Vegas Strip Walk — Las Vegas Sign To Mandalay Bay

Tonight we’re taking a nighttime stroll starting near the iconic “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign and making our way north toward the nearest casino. That’s Mandalay Bay.

We begin behind the sign where you can see the less photographed side that says “Drive Carefully. Come back soon.” Nearby is the Harley-Davidson motorcycle dealership.

Continuing our walk along Las Vegas Boulevard, we pass the construction site of the much delayed Dream Hotel and Casino, followed shortly by the new home to the Pinball Hall of Fame. A bit farther down, we see the Little Church of the West wedding chapel sitting cozily among some trees. Curiously, we wonder what’s the purpose of the hotel-looking building behind the chapel itself.

The walk is quiet except for the occasional noise of traffic, and we soon pass a shuttered motel that was formerly known as the Diamond Inn. It still has an old elephant statue out front.

The sidewalks are dimly lit in parts, and there aren’t too many other people around as we continue past a familiar sight, McDonald’s, then we see the seemingly abandoned Laughing Jackalope Bar & Grill.

In the distance, we spot two large concrete support pillars still standing from a failed Ferris wheel project, then we ultimately reach the intersection across from Mandalay Bay.

Near the end of our walk, we notice, too, the absence of protective sidewalk bollards here, something that feels a little strange compared to the rest of the Strip.

So, if you’re curious what this stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard looks like at night in 2025, this video gives you a real time view of that stretch of the Strip between the Vegas sign and the nearest big casino.

Thanks for watching. I appreciate you being here!
