Today we’re taking a walk along the Las Vegas Strip, starting near Treasure Island and making our way all the way to the Bellagio.
We begin outside Treasure Island, passing the construction fence for the upcoming Hard Rock guitar shaped hotel. The summer day is fading into twilight, and the tourist crowd is more sparse than usual, but still present along Las Vegas Boulevard. At first, it seems like construction is paused at the former Mirage site, but a little further along the walk, we spot a construction crane in motion.
As we continue past a covered construction walkway, Caesars Palace comes into better view. We pass the Forum Shops LED sign, take a look at the statues on the roof, and stop briefly at the Trevi fountain. Waiting for a crosswalk signal, we notice the former Margaritaville location at the Flamingo is now closed and rebranded as Anchors Bay Bar. We also pass a construction fence seemingly for Omnia Dayclub.
We soon arrive at the Flamingo and Las Vegas Boulevard before heading up the escalators to the pedestrian bridge. We then step inside the Bellagio Hotel and Casino briefly, make our way through the revolving door, and head out toward the famous fountains.
The walk ends along the front of the Bellagio, where we pass a Minnie Mouse character with some “unique proportions” to put it kindly.
