Today we’re walking through the Fashion Show Mall on the Las Vegas Strip, starting outside along Las Vegas Boulevard and then exploring all three levels of this massive shopping destination.
We begin with a look at the UFO shaped canopy above the entrance and talk about how the mall got its “Fashion Show” name. Once inside, we make our way through the first floor, passing stores like Swatch, kiosks with LED shoe displays, and a “Where Else Are You Gonna Wear That?” Vegas style clothing store. We also come across massage chairs offering three minutes for a dollar, the former Forever 21 location, and the now inactive catwalk area where fashion shows once literally rose from the floor.
Moving along, we spot a California Pizza Kitchen and an ABC Store, in particular, among the various storefronts before we head to the second floor.
On the second floor, we pass a Tiffany & Co. jewelry store among the many shops, then we take an escalator to the smaller third floor which is home to the food court. Just outside the third floor doors, though, we check out the overlook with views of the Strip beneath the UFO shade canopy. Back inside the food court area, we check out Popeye’s, where a chicken sandwich is $6.79.
A quick ride back down an escalator, we continue along the second floor where we pass Maggiano’s outdoor patio dining area, more shops, and some curious signage choices, along with a roped off store side entrance that seems to serve no real purpose. We also spot 1970’s style flare jeans in a window display before taking a short escalator to the upper section of the second level. From here, we get another view of the former catwalk fashion show area, see a store dedicated to claw arcade machines, and pass the Sanrio (Hello Kitty) store.
We wrap up by heading back toward the Strip side of the mall, passing the Louis Vuitton store that has an interesting scooter made from luggage in the window display.
