Tonight we’re back on Fremont Street for another walk through one of the most chaotic, colorful, and uniquely Vegas spots in town.
We start just outside the Golden Gate casino, near the covered Fremont Street Experience area, and right away, we spot the outdoor bartenders. Curiously, the female bartenders wear revealing outfits, but the guys do not. No matter, though, as shortly thereafter, we spot a couple of shirtless, muscular cowboys posing for pictures with a tourist. The man taking photos with them is bent over playfully, and everybody’s all smiles.
We soon see a gorilla with “Love Vegas” written in red fur on his backside, then we take a look at Whiskey Licker Up, downtown Las Vegas’s only rotating bar. Continuing along, we get hit with the usual mix of buskers in various costumes and some in not much at all. That includes a moment with a notable fishnet outfit and an appearance from a broken down Pennywise the clown.
After another stretch of Fremont Street, we pass an outdoor bartop dancer, then peer into hot dogs cooking on the grill at American Coney Island.
Next, we head into the Fremont East District where things feel a bit more open. There’s a police presence keeping an eye on things, but overall the vibe is pretty chill. One of the highlights in this area is the giant praying mantis sculpture that shoots fire from its antennae near the entrance to Container Park, an open mall of sorts that’s built from shipping containers. We step inside the park to check out the treehouse area in the middle of it before heading back out toward the Fremont core.
Along the way, we also catch a group of cyclists taking over the road, and later we see a snake charmer, some more dancing, and another gorilla, this time enthusiastically dancing with a man from the crowd.
It’s Fremont Street in 2025. It’s always changing, never quiet, and definitely never boring.
