Las Vegas WalkThru — Cosmopolitan Casino

Today we’re walking through the Cosmopolitan casino in Las Vegas, one of the more stylish resorts on the Strip. With its artsy decor, stacked floors design, and impressive chandelier bar, there’s plenty to take in.

We start at the north entrance, heading inside past The Henry, a restaurant that opens in the evening and stays open through the night until 2PM the next day. Next to it is the Barbershop, where real haircuts happen up front and a hidden speakeasy waits through a door in the back. From there, we step on into the main casino and take in the multi-level chandelier bar that is the resort’s centerpiece.

Curiously, as we ride the escalator up, we spot a few shirtless guys and girls in bikinis, which isn’t usually allowed inside the casino area.

Up on the third level, we pass restaurants like STK, LPM, and the Blue Ribbon American Grill & Oyster Bar before riding a glass sided elevator that gives us a look through the layers of the resort. We’re joined by another rider who confirms that shirtless attire is, in fact, not typically allowed on the casino floor.

Back on the top floor, we take a quick peek at the hidden Secret Pizza spot tucked away in an unmarked hallway.

We head further into the hotel to go past the conference room area, which is quite quiet compared to the busy main area, and we spot the Chelsea Theater showroom entrance before looping back to the main third floor shopping and restaurant area.

After seeing a foosball dining table and remarking on the stylishness of Red Plate, a Chinese restaurant, we head back down to the second floor where we spot an oversized high heel shoe and pass the exit to the pedestrian bridge leading toward the Aria. Along our walk, we also spot the Block 16 food hall, the Wicked Spoon buffet, and a few quirky art pieces, like a dog-headed man & a rabbit-headed woman riding a donkey and a group of tall stone dogs standing in a formation. The Cosmopolitan even has converted vintage cigarette vending machines that now sell small art.

Passing a few more restaurants along our walk, we again take in the impressiveness of the Chandelier Bar then return to the main casino floor. At the far end of the building, in the hotel lobby, large columns of LED panels display a rotating series of art to amuse guests as they wait to check in. Just outside the glass doors nearby, we pass the limo drop-off area where numerous black cars of various sizes are waiting.

We return inside and walk the casino floor again back towards Las Vegas Blvd. Before heading outside, we pass the sportsbook and spot another giant high heel sculpture. This time, a guy is inside of it hamming it up for his buddy, and we end our walk by going through a Starbucks along the Las Vegas Strip.
