Las Vegas Strip Walk — EDC Weekend

This weekend, Las Vegas had a little extra neon on the Strip in the form of EDC attendees.

EDC, short for Electric Daisy Carnival, was in town at the Las Vegas Speedway, and tens of thousands of electronic music fans came to Vegas for the three days of the festival. With over the top productions, massive stages, and a distinctive rave energy, EDC isn’t just a music event like a single concert. Instead, it’s a whole experience, and most of the attendees wear outfits that make them feel like part of the show.

In this video, I filmed a different kind of Strip walk. Instead of covering long ground from one point to another, I set up near the Stratosphere and repeatedly crossed the Las Vegas Boulevard crosswalk to capture the flow of EDC attendees. A seemingly neverending stream of people came out from the hotel to walk over to the shuttle buses that would take them to the Speedway for the concerts. From fishnet stockings and cowprint shirts to matching cut-off denim shorts with pink tank tops, it was a bright and varied cast of revelers, each ready for a night of music (and some mayhem).

This video is more about the vibe than the destination. It’s a snapshot of what the city looks like during one of its most colorful and busiest weekends of the year, and even in a place as full of personality as Las Vegas, EDC still manages to stand out.

Thanks for watching. I appreciate you being here!
