We take a walk today through the Sahara Las Vegas, one of the older names on the Strip (although it had a temporary name change to SLS a few years back). The property has seen a lot of changes over the years, but the current version goes for the modern, sleek aesthetic, and it’s a little quieter than many of the bigger casinos up the road.
We begin our walk at the valet and passenger drop-off area, then head inside and immediately onto the casino floor.
Walking around the northern perimeter, we pass Chickie’s & Pete’s Crabhouse + Sports Bar and a sports betting kiosk before we arrive at The Noodle Den. We peer through a window to a big open kitchen where a chef is getting things prepared for the evening dinner service. Near that, we see a glowing LED panel ceiling art piece that leads us toward Bazaar Meat by José Andrés, one of the more well known fine dining options at the property.
We loop back through more of the casino and look into the Casbar Lounge, a bar and chill hangout space tucked just off the main floor. It’s got a couple of cool fireplaces and a den with an even cozier vibe, too.
Heading back around through the casino and up an escalator, we reach the entrance to the Magic Mike Live Theater.
After that, we briefly take a look at the Sahara pool area, then come back inside and pass Uno Más Street Tacos’ open kitchen, where a chef waves at us.
Moving on around to the lobby, we take note of the photos lining the wall with bits of Sahara history. It goes all the way back to the Rat Pack era, then we finish up by checking out the hotel lobby, the Tangier bar, and Zeffer’s Café.
